The 2nd XI were kitted out and on the pitch when a call came through from Immaculata ll to say that they could not field leaving ‘Burn without a game.
The 3rd XI travelled to Brentwood and took the lead with Cardwell finishing off a good run and cross from Gallagher. However Brantwood took over and took a 3-1 lead at the break with stand-in keeper Pinion let down by some poor defensive work. In the second half ‘Burn rallied and Cardwell completed his hat-trick to make the score 3-3. Both sides had further chances but it was the home side who struck twice in the last fifteen minutes to record a 5-3 victory.
The 4th XI took on Ravenhill YM ll and went down 4-1 with teenager Keable scoring the Bryansburn goal.
