Good start for Bryansburn Under 15’s

Bryansburn Under 15’s were away to Carrick FC. This was Bryansburn’s first game of the new season and they came away 3-2 winners but were fortunate to claim all three points.

Early Bryansburn pressure resulted in an goal on five minutes from a superb Suonio cross which Dillon latched onto slotting the ball beyond the keeper. Carrick then started to get involved in the game and levelled the score on 10 minutes with a long range shot from some 25 yards out. Both teams continued to press and both hit the woodwork but the half finished 1-1.

Again it only took Bryansburn 5 minutes to score when Murdoch picked up the ball on the edge of the 18 yard box and fought his way past four defenders finishing well by expertly lobbing the keeper. Minutes later Murdoch turned supplier when his constant pressing of the keeper forced a poor clearance, Murdoch then chased down the ball and cut it back to Carson who took one touch and lashed the ball into the top corner to make it 3-1. Carrick pulled another one back on 23 minutes but Bryansburn were determined at the back and the score finished 3-2. Man of the match was Murdoch closely followed by Carson.

Bryansburn Under 11’s had a comfortable 12-0 win over Abbey Villa.

‘Burn started well and went one up after ten minutes with Hamilton scoring in the bottom left hand corner. Bryansburn kept pushing forward and Boardman beat three players to score a great goal. Pritchard and English also scored to make it four nil at halftime.

In the second half Pritchard and Morrow went on to score hat-tricks and Tinsley, Graham and C.Proctor also scored to make the final score twelve nil. “Man of the Match” went to Boardman.
